Four words she’d use to describe herself
“Fiercely loyal. Unshakably Strong.”
What she likes about aging
“The older I get, the more comfortable I feel in my skin. I look back at pictures of myself when I was younger and lament how much time I wasted cataloguing all of my supposed flaws. The wisdom that comes with age allows me to recognize and appreciate all that I bring to the table and not sweat the superficial, small stuff.”
…and what she could do without
“It takes a little more maintenance as you get older to manage the changes in one’s body—keeping up with exercise, moderating the diet a little more, accepting the physical changes that inevitably come with age. It wasn’t (and sometimes still isn’t) easy to digest. But I’m so grateful to be healthy and living an exceptional life.”
Her simple skincare strategy
“I’m lucky that I have good genes and have never felt the need to do any procedures on my face. I see a dermatologist once a year for mole checks (and some mole removals along the way), but that is about it. I use good skin care products like Serucell and try to get enough rest and water, and that seems to do the trick.”
What Serucell has done for her skin
“Since I started using Serucell, I’ve noticed a big change in the elasticity of the skin on my face. I saw a video of myself last night, and my skin actually looked younger! It had a glow to it that I had not seen in a long time. Even my husband remarked that my skin was luminescent.”
How she cares for her hair
“My hair is fussy and has multiple textures. I wear it straight as well as very curly, depending on my mood. Like a lot of women, I have a haircare drawer full of products that fit whatever style I opt for throughout the week. I’m very particular about products and tend to choose ones that are all natural without a lot of alcohol or parabens.”
How her beauty regimen has changed in the last five years
“At this age, I’m just opting for less everything when it comes to beauty. Less makeup, less products, just…less. I want to take advantage of every second I have to live my life, not spend time looking in the mirror. “
The beauty products she’d hate to live without
“A good skin cream like Serucell, a little lip gloss and some mascara—and I am good to go! Also, concealer for those days when I don’t get enough sleep. I’m older, but still want to feel pretty, and these little small touches help.”
Her aging motto
“Never stop educating yourself. Never stop pushing yourself. Love every inch of your magnificent self. And do it with grace and kindness.”
